NSAA 2000 Back Alley Challenge Results

 The contest took place November 8 in Kokomo Indiana in the back alley behind Powerhouse Gym. The event was sponsored by Mastiff Strength equipment and Powerhouse Gym Kokomo. All of the equipment used was manufactured by Mastiff Strength equipment. The yoke walk was a new design that stressed safety and maximum speed. It was constructed by this years 2000 American Champ Bryan Schoonveld and it rated high praise from the competitors.

 

  12 competitors vied for the coveted Conans sword first place trophy and the 3 spots offered by the NSAA for the American Championship in Las Vegas.  Seven tough events were contested and at the end of the day Brian Schoonveld emerged the champion. Tony Scrivens, John Beatty and Jared Spybrook all qualified for the final 3 spots for vegas.

Crucafix – 25lbs for max time – This was done on a new crucafix similar to the one used in the WSM 99.
