When I hear this song, Chris is always in my memories. Sissy also died in a tragic motorcycle accident. I have tweaked the words to match she for he, etc. Why did he have to go So young I just don't know why Things happen half the time Without reason without rhyme Lovely, sweet young man Son, friend and brother Makes no sense to me I just have to believe He flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees And he walks with Jesus and his loved ones waiting And I know he's smiling saying Don't worry 'bout me Loved ones he left behind Just trying to survive And understand the why Feeling so lost inside Anger shot straight at God Then asking for His love Empty with disbelief Just hoping that maybe He flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees And he walks with Jesus and his loved ones waiting And I know he's smiling saying Don't worry 'bout me It's hard to say goodbye His picture in my mind Will always be of times I'll cherish And I won't cry 'cause He flew up to Heaven on the wings of angels By the clouds and stars and passed where no one sees And he walks with Jesus and his loved ones waiting And I know he's smiling saying Don't worry 'bout me Don't worry 'bout me Don`t worry 'bout me

If you talk about songs... I am a huge Alter Bridge fan and I listen to this song just about every day as it is CD#4 in my car. I was listening to this and it made me think about Chris... then I did some research on the origin of the writing of this song and made it just a little bit closer to home... The willow it weeps today A breeze from the distance is calling your name Unfurl your black wings and wait Across the horizon it's coming to sweep you away It's coming to sweep you away [Chorus:] Let the wind carry you home Blackbird fly away May you never be broken again The fragile cannot endure The wrecked and the jaded a place so impure The static of this cruel world Cause some birds to fly long before they've seen their day Long before they've seen their day [Chorus:] Let the wind carry you home Blackbird fly away May you never be broken again Beyond the suffering you've known I hope you find your way May you never be broken again Ascend may you find no resistance Know that you made such a difference All you leave behind will live to the end The cycle of suffering goes on But memories of you stay strong Someday I too will fly and find you again [Chorus:] Let the wind carry you home Blackbird fly away May you never be broken again Beyond the suffering you've known I hope you find your way May you never be broken again May you never be broken again Miss you Little Brother!

A Tribute to Chris...

This is going on a 70 Iron-Head that I have been building for the last year or so... Chris drove me up to Long Island to pick it up
