Rule Changes:
LifeQuest Fitness
Center Strongman Competition reserves the right to add to, modify, or
eliminate the Official Rules as stated here up to and including the day of
the event at our discretion, for any reason, or no reason at all.
Roll Call:
All competitors
are to report to Columbia Park 8:00 am July 26, 2003. There will be a
short introduction and overview of the competition at that time.
Order of
Events:
Tire Flip, Log Press,
Behemoths
Medley, Truck pull, and Stone Load. An intermission will follow the
Medley. In each event, the women will be first followed by the
lightweights and heavyweights. The order of contestants within each
division will be announced at Roll Call on the day of the event.
Point System:
Competitors earn
points according to the following point system for each event: First
Place, 10;
Second Place, 7; Third Place, 5; Forth Place, 3; Completion, 1.
Tie-Breaker:
In event of a tie
for first place, a tie breaker event will determine the champion. The
tie-breaker event will be announced following the Truck Pull, if
necessary.
Awards:
Awards will be
distributed to each division champion and runner-up in a ceremony
immediately
following the final event. Champions and runners-up will receive a
LifeQuest Strongman Trophy and their share of $1000.00 prize money. Third
place winners will receive a LifeQuest Strongman Competition Plaque. All
participants receive a LifeQuest Strongman Competition T-shirt and 2 Adult
weekend passes to the Columbia Cup.
Judging:
Judges will be on hand
for each event. If a
competitor does not comply with, event rules or standard procedures,
compromising the integrity of the event or
competition as deemed by an official judge or consensus of judges the
competitor may be subject to disqualification from the event or
competition. Registration fees are
nontransferable and non-refundable.
Contraband:
The following
will not be permitted in any events unless otherwise supplied as part of
the event: lifting straps, grip-tape, gloves, or other apparatus to give
an unfair advantage in grip, pull, or any other function to a competitor.
Chalk, elastic joint-support wraps, weight belts and athletic tape may be
used, as long as it does not provide an unfair advantage as stated above.
