Barbell's 2001 Strength Spectacular Strongman
is
one of the most important annual events in strength sports,
attracting the who's who of strength athletes and drawing over 200
competitors and thousands of spectators from across the
country. This event features a two-day IPA World Powerlifting
Championships, the Bob Hoffman Strongman Challenge (truck pull, Tire
Flip, Log press for reps, wheelbarrow walk), the
York Barbell Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony (Lamar Gant and Vicky
Steenrod will be inducted this year), and a Olympic-style
weightlifting demonstration by some America's Olympic hopefuls.
