Event 3: Gordon Biersch Keg Toss for Height

Description of the event: The athletes threw a 1/4 barrel keg weighing approximately 15 kilos or 33 pounds over a bar. The athlete is eliminated if he fails to clear the height in two attempts. The fewest total attempts wins in case of a tie.

One of the keys to this event is to not grip the keg, but to use your hands as hooks as Gary demonstrates Gary Mitchell shows great form in the keg toss
The crowd was shocked when Gary missed 20 feet Gary shows why he once held the world record in the keg toss for height. At this attempt the bar was set at 20 feet.
Mark Keshishian sets a PR on the keg toss Just barely!

This was Mike Kromer's honeymoon. Now that's dedication to the sport!
